What You Need To Know About The New Real ID In Missouri


Missouri doesn't require a real ID, but you'll need a real ID or a passport if you want to fly after October 1st 2020. The real ID act was passed after 9/11 in the hopes it would make it harder for terrorist to obtain state-issued identification documents.

What you'll need to take with you to the DMV to get your real ID.
- Proof of citizenship ( Valid Passport or Birth Certificate )
- Your social security card, w-2 form, or current pay stub
- Two proofs of residency, such as vehicle registration and a utility bill
- If your name has changed at all, you'll need a marriage certificate, divorce decree, adoption paperwork or legal name change document
